FAQs

What exactly does a Strategic Design Leader do all day?

A mix of strategy, storytelling, mentoring, and making sure design aligns with business goals. Some days I’m deep in research and workshops; other days I’m presenting to stakeholders or unblocking my team. Always advocating for the user, whether it’s influencing product decisions or guiding design outcomes.

What’s the one UX myth you wish would disappear?

That UX is just about making things “look pretty.

Good UX is strategic, it solves real problems, drives business outcomes, and is grounded in research, data, and human behaviour.

What’s your stance on AI in design?

AI isn’t replacing designers, it’s elevating them. It’s a powerful co-pilot when used thoughtfully. I use it daily to prototype faster, write smarter, and explore innovative solutions.
